The city of Portland is moving forward with plans to replace former Police Chief James Craig, who resigned in July to take the Police Chief position in Cincinnati, OH. Interim Chief Michael Sauschuck has served in his absence.
New City Manager Mark Rees wants to have a nominee ready for the city council by January. Applications for the position will be due at the end of next month. A nationwide advertising campaign will begin on September 26.
