While it's not exactly news that the line between 'TV talent' and 'movie talent' has become increasingly blurred in recent years this latest move is one of the most surprising and promising yet.
The Coen Brothers are coming to television.
Deadline reports that Fox have commissioned an hour long comedy which the brothers co-created with Cedar Rapids writer Phil Johnston. To be produced by Brian Grazer at Imagine the show is titled HarveKarbo and will follow a surly LA private detective. The Coens will executive produce with Johnston handling the bulk of the writing duties. There is no word yet on casting or whether the brothers will be involved as directors.
