ERDMANN MOVES AHEAD AT PGA CLUB PRO CHAMPIONSHIP - CENTRE DAILY NEWS

Scott Erdmann carded a two-under 69 on Tuesday to take the third-round lead of the PGA Professional National Championship.

Erdmann mixed six birdies with four bogeys at Hershey Country Club's East Course to move to 12-under 202, one stroke clear of second-round leader Sean Dougherty.
"I prepared probably too hard and was really struggling to find a swing," Erdmann said. "As soon as I got out of the car and hit some balls on the range, for some reason everything's been clicking."
After play alternated between the East Course and West Course through the first two rounds, the reduced field all played on the par-71 East Course on Tuesday.
Erdmann, from Oswego Lake Country Club in Lake Oswego, Oregon, entered the day two strokes back of Milburn Country Club's Dougherty, but Dougherty faltered to a one-over 72 after an eight-under 64 on Monday at the West Course.
Dougherty had four bogeys and three birdies on Tuesday and is alone in second at 11-under, while Robert McClellan (66), Stuart Smith (69) and Faber Jamerson (69) share third at 10-under 204.
Bob Sowards (68) and David Hutsell (67) share sixth at minus-eight, while two- time defending champion and three-time winner Mike Small shot a two-under 69 on Tuesday and is in eighth at seven-under overall.
