Fast-Moving Storm Moving In - GJSentinel

A quick-moving winter storm crossing Utah and Colorado today is expected to drop five to 10 inches of new snow over the high country, particularly the San Juan Mountains, the National Weather Service said in a winter-weather advisory.

Heavier show accumulations will occur on south-facing slopes through the early afternoon as the storm moves east, then shift to northwest-facing slopes as the wind shifts, the Weather Service said.

Motorists on the Interstate 70 corridor from Grand and Battlement mesas, Uncompahgre Plateau and Dallas Divide to Vail should be prepared for snow and blowing snow causing slippery roads and limited visibility.
