Construction Moving Along on Complex - Herald Times News

According to construction workers who were operating heavy equipment in front of the complex last week, they had already started putting up the siding.

Most of the workers were inside, however, laying down the electrical and plumbing systems.

The new complex will replace the old Alpine Haus Apartment complex, which burned to the ground July 22, 2009. The fire left 52 low income, elderly and handicapped residents homeless,

“As far as I know, the date for us to move in is still Dec. 31 or later,” said Charles Park, resident of the old complex. “But we’re all hoping it’s sooner rather than later.”
